Victoria and Richard were married at the very picturesque St Mary’s Church, Eccleston, and held their reception at Hoghton Hall, in Lancashire. It was a beautiful Winter day, with crisp, cold air, but some occasional sunshine to warm everyone up!
If I get the chance to hang the dress somewhere interesting…

Making good use of f 1.2 on the 50 mm.
These shoes are to die for.

Looking at that blue sky, you wouldn’t know it was December!
All dressed up![]()
The ushers were hard at work.
Richard and his proud mum.

It’s always good to check the rings are present![]()

Vickie’s mum looked radiant.
The bridal procession.

I love to capture that first look.

The look of love.

Confetti and a touch of rain too!

Hoghton Hall has an amazingly long drive up to the house.
I grabbed the chance for a quick portrait or two before we froze!
And into the warmth of the hall for music, drinks and mingling.

A beautiful room.

We braved the chill for a few quick portraits.

One of my faves![]()

A guest from each table had the job of carving the beef (Sir Loin).

The speeches are my favourite part to capture, for the range of reactions and expressions…
Loving the expression, and the bokeh from the lights!
I used a combination of fast lenses and minimal or no flash, using ambient light as much as possible.

Greeting more guests at the start of the evening reception, before taking to the floor.

Yvonne and Dave were married at St Columba United Reform Church in Liverpool, and held their reception at The Heathercliffe Hotel in Frodsham. There was a huge amount of family and friends present to share their day. Their friends had kindly laid on an elaborate lunch in the church hall following the ceremony, which was a lovely idea, and everyone seemed to enjoy. The cups of tea were flowing, and very welcome! We then went on to the picturesque Heathercliffe Hotel, which is set in a beautifully peaceful countryside location, and is a favourite place for the bride and groom. Yvonne and Dave bravely dodged the showers for some pictures during the drinks reception, and I then stayed to cover their speeches, which were very entertaining! Thanks to Yvonne, Dave and all their guests for a special day.

Dave seemed quite calm beforehand…

…and best man didn’t look too worried either!

The sun came out for Yvonne’s arrival…she looked radiant!

A quick fluff of the hair and veil before the big entrance.

A very happy bride-to-be, with her proud father![]()

A cheeky face!

Very happily married![]()

I always like to get the back of the dress somehow!

They make a lovely couple! You can see how pretty the grounds are here too.

Surprises for Yvonne during dad’s speech as he read out cards from her idols!

I love to capture the range of emotions a speech brings…
