Esmée and Dirk’s wedding was held in the stunning location of Crow Hill in Yorkshire. The whole theme of the wedding was vintage inspired, and was beautiful to photograph. As the bride and groom are both from Holland, they followed some Dutch traditions such as meeting each other before the ceremony for a private picnic. They then went for a drive in a sports car together to explore the countryside! It did mean that the bride and groom could spend some quality time together and enjoy their day all the more. It was a very drizzly day, but they took it in their stride, and were happy to be photographed in the rain! The results were worth it though, and produced a very lovely picture further down the blog. Many thanks to Esmée and Dirk, and all the family and friends which made it a very enjoyable day. Esmée and Dirk…wishing you good luck on your return to Rotterdam.
Esmée’s mum was doing her make-up…
…and helping her into the beautiful vintage dress.

Dirk and his parents.
Here she comes, looking radiant!
Dirk’s expression says it all.
I love the range of expressions/emotions here.
Very pleased to see each other!
Enjoying the Dutch tradition of a pre-ceremony picnic.
Meanwhile the guests enjoy themselves too!

The vintage bus was amazing, and the guests really like the experience.

Trying mum’s hat for size.

What a gorgeous couple they make.

Vintage roses…sooo pretty.

Esmée all ready to go…complete with umbrella, just in case!

Each father gave a speech during the ceremony.

Delighted to be exchanging rings!

I love this one. The confetti was made by Dirk’s mum!

Both mums gave a very jolly speech during the drinks reception.

I love capturing moments like this.

I have never seen a cake as high-rise, or more intricately decorated!

The house is beautiful, inside and out.
More speeches in the Marquee.

I can’t explain why Dirk was on the rowing machine, as the speech leading up to it was in Dutch!

Looks funny though![]()

Kissing in the rain. Huge respect to both for not batting an eyelid about going out in it!![]()

Caught this when they were too busy looking at each other!
